Trib vs. Times, USF edition

Tampa Tribune: Check out the sports section right now. The active poll is still about the UF/FSU game. The main stories are Bucs and 'Noles. Looking for a story about USF's first ever bowl invitation? Check "More Sports Headlines." Yes, that tiny section below everything else.

St. Pete Times: Their section gives the Bulls editorial equal billing up top with a story on the Seminoles' ACC championship. The USF game synopsis even appears above that for FSU.

I understand that die-hard fans of UF and FSU certainly outnumber those of USF in this area. I know you have to provide what the reader wants to read. But local newspapers should also be in the business of promoting the area they cover - no city, no newspaper. Obviously only the Times has learned how to juggle both responsibilities.
